Creative Techniques January 2024 - Gel Plate with Alcohol Inks

Start your New Year off by making 3 Birthday Cards for your stash. This fun fast paced class uses a 5x7 inch gel plate, alcohol ink, and the alcohol ink lift technique. Each card will use different process.

Required Supplies Crafter’s need to bring to class:
- 5x7 Gel Plate (brands to use are Gel Press, Gelli Arts or Lavinia plates all work well with alcohol inks).
***Note your gel press will stain using alcohol ink, this will not affect the performance of your gel plate
- Brayer – Soft Rubber about 4” in size
- Hand Held Air Blower – (Ranger brand blower is recommended)
- ¾”Paint Brush either a filbert or mop style, it needs to be thick but also soft
- Alcohol Ink Lift – stamp pad
***Note the stamp pad will stain but it will not affect the performance of your ink pad
-Latex Gloves to keep your fingers clean
-Face Mask, if alcohol ink smell bothers you

If building the cards in class, you will also need your standard tool kit which should include basic products to complete your cards:
- craft mat, tape, glue, pop-dots, tweezer, scissors, baby wipes/or/damp cloth, paper towels
- pencil crayons
